Melissa Cabral is a "planner hybrid" at The Martin Agency, where she works as digital media planner on American Cancer Society and as a strategic brand planner on GEICO. Prior to Martin, she spent a summer in the behavioral planning department of BBDO NY, working on brands such as Gillette, GE and AT&T. Prior to that, she held a host of random jobs, such as telemarketer, appliance repair parts sales, and water park party hostess.
Melissa is also an alumna of the VCU Brandcenter, where she graduated summa cum laude in 2010. Her commencement address ended with a horrible rendition of Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance," but she still managed to receive a diploma. She is passionate about planning and feels extremely fortunate to have finally found her calling. Her mother still has no idea what she does exactly. But is proud nonetheless.
