Revitalize the Value of Strategy.

Clients don’t want to pay for it. Creatives don’t always value it. Account people try to substitute for it.
The result? Work that doesn’t work, unhappy clients, and disengaged consumers.
We think the time has come for strategy and strategists to get more respect. We’re looking to you to tell us how.
We’ll choose four planners to present their thinking at the 2013 4A’s Strategy Festival in Nashville on October 28-29.
To enter, please submit a video, 3 minutes or less, pitching your idea (details on where to submit will be posted soon!). The content of the video should include a brief explanation as to how you think we can solve the challenge above as well as how you will present your idea to the crowd if you are chosen.

The single deadline for entries (absolutely no extensions) is Friday, August 30. Winners will be notified by Monday, September 16.
Selected planners will have 10 minutes to present their ideas onstage at the 2013 Stratfest in Nashville.
Videos will be judged by a panel of industry peers and judging will be blind. (To keep this contest unbiased, please do not say your name in the video or have an image of say, your agency behind you. Shooting against a blank wall would be best.)
Entries will be judged on validity of their idea as well as creativity, originality, and presentation/storytelling ability. Selected planners will be given free entry to the festival (winners are responsible for their own travel expenses).
Eligibility is based on the following:
- Planner should have less than (4) years of strategy specific work experience. It’s perfectly fine if you had another career before you transitioned to strategy.
- You must not have been selected for the 2011 or 2012 StratFest Inspire talks
- You must not have given a talk at a major advertising or strategy festival conference or festival. It’s OK if you have been on stage before, just not in this capacity.
- You must be willing to travel to the 2013 StratFest in Nashville TN (Oct 29-30).
